We enjoyed the weather with outdoor book-time, eating al fresco, and even skipping naptimes to maximize our Vitamin D intake. The weather was just what we needed after a very dreary March.
On Saturday, after a morning jog in the sunshine, we went to a Patty Party in honor of Aunt Patty's 60th birthday. Just what is a Patty Party, you ask? Well, every morsel of food was in the form of a patty: crabby patties (crab cakes), risotto patties (risotto cakes), peppermint patties, and more. The patties were delectable, the party was so lively and it was a great tribute to Aunt Patty. Cousin Kara did an amazing job organizing the bash, and deserves an award for throwing such an amazing extravaganza with two (yes two!) 10-month-old babies.
On Sunday, Curtis participated in a mountain bike race and won his division by a whopping six minute margin. Afterward, he questioned whether he might have missed some of the poorly-marked course to achieve his victory, but the race officials gave him the honor in spite of his vocalization.
Now, sadly, the overcast, drizzly weather has returned. It's a good thing we kept all of our long sleeves in the drawers... we knew the sunshine was only temporary. But it sure was wonderful while it lasted!

I'm here Meg! I'm reading and loving your blog. The Patty party sounds so cute. I guess the Martha Stewart gene runs through your family.
