Yesterday I took one look at Lucy as I picked her up from preschool, and I thought for sure she had contracted some strange blue-limb disease.
Her fingernails, her teeth, her fingers, her palms, even her lips were the strangest bluish tint. Before my feeble brain could process the cause of this bizarre coloration, another mom tapped me on the shoulder and proclaimed, "Oh, your daughter really enjoyed the cupcakes I brought for my son's birthday! I realized after I handed them out that deep blue frosting probably wasn't the best choice. Sorry about that- it will fade within a few days."
A few days?? Here we are on Day 2 of Blue Lu, with minimal fading. And if the blue frosting is this permanent on her outsides, what praytell do her poor insides look like right now? Blue stomach, blue esophagus, blue intenstines? Blue Lu, through and thru.
