We are knee-deep in Santa sightings, reindeer games, and other various holiday celebrations. We had a fun gathering with Jack & Will and Nick & Noah (who just turned one!) to exchange gifts over the weekend. This week, Mary's preschool class sereneded us with Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. So sweet!
Last weekend, we went up to Tilden Park in Berkeley for a ride on the holiday merry-go-round and a visit with Santa. Mary's previous apprehension about Santa is gone. She marched right up to him and said, "I am going to be at my grandma and papa's house this year, and may I please have a scooter and shoes with flashing lights?" (She's VERY concerned that Santa is going to deliver her gifts to the wrong address....she's had us write two separate letters about this matter.)
At Tilden Park, Lucy immediately spotted one of Santa's "reindeer" and shrieked, "Elk!" Little Shetland "Blitzen" was the sorriest creature. Let's hope he cheers up in January when he can take off the silly red outfit.
