Bucket List

At the beginning of the summer, the girls drafted a Bucket List. It included camping, hiking, roasting marshmallows, eating fruit, getting frozen yogurt, exploring the neighborhood, seeing our cousins, planting in the garden, reading books, playing games, eating fresh whipped cream, picking berries, feeding the fish in Papa's pond, a slumber party, and more. All told, there were 41 things on our summer to-do list. As our final day of summer is upon us, we checked off all except five of them. A pretty great summer, I'd say.

And so...onward to the first day of school! But first, here's a re-cap of some of our favorite items from the bucket list.

4. Swimming! Lots of pool time was had this summer. Lucy became a proficient swimmer (and pretty speedy in flippers).

27. Picking berries. This excursion provided us with raspberry jam we'll savor all winter long.

25. Watching Ryan have fun. And fun he had! He loved his float.

18. Time in the garden. One of my favorite parts of summer is the fresh blooms that fill the house and yard.
