Today, apparently to make up for the lack of a new baby in this house, I'm being kept company by a barrage of contractors-- plumbers, sheetrockers, electricians, and more. And as they were cutting into the lath & plaster of the dining room wall, they found the Sunday Comics page....from 1918!It is in color and miraculously preserved despite the years. It's also shockingly racist. But, still, a historic treasure. We plan to frame the (fortunately non-racist) Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn strip for posterity.
