It's been a joy to go through this pregnancy with my sister, who is due two weeks after I am. I've imagined the fun these two cousins will have being so close in age, and the future mischief they will enjoy together.
And it seems they are already causing mischief. With my in-laws on a cruise and my dad headed off for a week of "Cycle Oregon," we had a carefully orchestrated plan for the babies' arrivals. My mom would be in Portland around Sept 10-15 for our baby's arrival to care for the girls while we were in the hospital, and then she would cross the Cascades to be with Amy's family for her baby's arrival.
But, we've learned that Amy's baby is considering making an early appearance. And, of course, it's no surprise that my baby seems incredibly cozy and content on the inside, pointing to a late arrival. Which means poor mom has two grandbabies who could arrive within a week or even days of each other. Oh, those little rabble-rousers!
So, which will win the race? Baby B East of the Cascades, or Baby L West of the Cascades? Either way, I'm certain this isn't the last trouble-making that these two cousins will cavort in!

Fantastic. Sounds exactly like Baby Bloomfield/Davis who decided to wait around and Baby Bloomfield/Townzen who had threatened to come WAY early but in the end settled for 36 hours after Baby B/D, despite being due two weeks later.
So we feel for your mama! (but it's very cool to have the two cousins so close).
Know that we are happy to try and pick up some of the slack if your mom gets pulled in two directions at once!
Maybe they'll have the same birthday! So exciting to see who will be the "oldest" cousin.
You just might need a Great-Auntie to help--be sure and let me know!
xoxo
The nicknames will be West and East!!
