Science Lesson: Defying The Laws of Gravity

In case nobody had noticed, little Lucy's hair is getting quite long. But, of course, you hadn't noticed. Because, truth be told, it's growing horizontally instead of vertically. The poor girl has the curly curse. These curls are incredibly tightly wound and have more bounce than a trampoline....or for that matter, a crate full of cranberries (aka bounceberries if you are in the know with culinary lingo).

We brush, we comb, we detangle, and yet, these silly little ringlets remain stubbornly defiant to the laws of gravity. She tugs at the curls and says, "Curly hair, Lucy curly hair." It's adorable, it's hilarious, and it's truly fitting to her spunky, glowing personality.

However, I am left pondering this question: at what age is it considered acceptable to begin using styling product in your child's hair?
