On Sunday, Curtis put Lucy down for her afternoon nap. Usually she falls right asleep, but this time, she was still awake and noisy after 15 minutes. We went to check on her, and found her frothing....white paste all over her mouth and face, white paste covering her hands and clothes, and white trails smeared all over the crib. She was holding up a tube of diaper cream, saying sweetly, "Ice Cream!" and eating it.
After a reassuring call to Poison Control (tummy aches could be expected, but nothing more serious), we couldn't stop laughing at the image of Lucy and her mid-day "ice cream" treat.
What can I say? She takes after her mother. Ice cream is the best invention in the whole world. But I think we need to give her more of it so that she can differentiate between the real deal and a tube of zinc oxide.
