I'm so sorry to hear the news. Talk about adding stress to impending arrivals. In this case would you wait to start the construction until a bit after baby?
Hang in there...As crazy and nonideal as this process is turning out to be, you will get through it and come out of it with baby and a much more family-friendly upstairs.
I'll bet you are very relieved you decided to buy Big Blue instead of Old Taupe here! : )
We hope to get permits so that we can start work by the second week of August, so construction will still be underway when baby arrives but we figure it will be easier with a newborn than waiting a year and trying to do it with a crawling/walking little one! Hopefully our permits actually get approved so that we can do it. Ahh...the joys of home ownership.
