Apparently, I shouldn't have taunted H1N1, as he decided to pick on me. But, really, with Lucy up at night sneezing those little swiney molecules right into my face, reaching for me in the dark and grabbing my mouth by mistake, the germs were given to me more easily than a direct-deposit paycheck. So, it's no surprise that the devilish H1N1 got me, too. It was a very rough week.
The good news is we are over the worst. Lucy recovered well, and is back to her full-fledged energetic self. I'm finally rid of the fever, and working on saying adios to the cough.
One amazing thing that happens when you spend many feverish days in bed: you get to hear snippets of your spouse in what is typically your role. Curtis was incredibly patient with the girls, played imaginative games with them, told them tall tales (they are now under some strange impression that there is a "Good Behavior Pill" they take each morning, which I need to understand more clearly), he was great at making Mary's lunches every day (no illegal m&ms as far as I know), and even did load upon load of laundry. Nothing could have made me happier. Except, of course, not having that cursed 103 degree fever to begin with. And special thanks to my mom, for soup delivery and school pick-ups. We are so grateful for the help, and hope you doused yourself in sanitizer before you left the premises.
Anyway, that's the update from Casa Loeb in case you were worrying. I would try to think of some clever way to close this lame health update, but I'm not quite that well recovered yet. Blame my boring post on Mr. H1N1. (Just be sure to do it anonymously, or he might come after you, too!)
Halloween pics (I hope we have some... Curtis??) to come soon...
