Baptismal waters

After our cousin Chiara was submersed in baptismal waters on Sunday, the girls decided they needed to be baptised, too. They chose a puddle in the driveway.
Though our camera was forgotten at home, Sunday's baptism of sweet little Chiara was a beautiful picture. Good natured, sweet baby Chiara was a champ through the whole mass. The priest invited all children to come to the steps in front of the altar to see the two baptisms. Lucy and Mary sat nicely on the steps, watching the first baby get dunked in the waters. However, as soon as Lucy saw Chiara and all of us (parents and Godparents and sis Becca) approaching for Chiara's turn, she jumped up, reached her hands out and squealed, "Baby Key-ya-ya!" and scrambled up to the font to be part of the baptism. Tom goodnaturedly explained, "and cousins, too!"
A spectacular celebration. And, speaking of spectacular, check out the view from our sunroom. Aren't the fall colors incredible?
