Em-- this is LUCY's spelling test, which makes it even crazier. I am all for challenging words, but I like the ones that have some context/definition for the kids so that they can use that knowledge. I guarantee you Lucy has no idea what the word transcend means and cannot use it in a sentence. This week she had precipitation as one of her words, and I was happy that she could define it and use it in a sentence.
