Over the mountain and through the high desert, to the Bahrman house we went.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration in Bend with both sets of parents and Amy & Tom and cousins Chiara and Becca. True to her Martha Stewart tendencies, Amy created the most bountiful, beautiful feast. So, we feasted and feasted. For days. Delicious pumpkin muffins, tasty bolognese, spicy shrimp enchiladas, homemade fig jam and proscuitto paninis, and more Bahrman-specialty lattes than the Starbucks mermaid herself. (You're salivating, aren't you?)
During our long weekend, we enjoyed a trip to the High Desert Museum, a clear evening watching Santa light Bend's Christmas tree, and even the construction of a Gingerbread house (albeit a bit unstable without our resident engineer's oversight).
Thanksgiving left us not only with the usual bounty of leftovers, but also lingering joy and gratitude for a wonderful visit.
